(San Jose, California) Net+Effects has announced their turnkey system to get a company into the Internet Access Service Provider (ISP) business. "We made it as 'turnkey' as possible" said Net+Effects president, Bill Selmeier. The Net+Effects system comes with a UNIX based Server, firewall routers, communication servers and the software necessary to provide a professional service. "Net+Effects will even manage the central facility for the new ISP", continued Selmeier. "It's a 'partnership.' Net+Effects acts as Systems Administrator, Postmaster and News Administrator for its ISP customers. We ask our customers to handle the local business and support questions with their customers." ISPs choose between providing "IP only" or "IP and Shell" access to their clients.
The systems can support a range of connection options from individual dial-in modems or ISDN to directly attached dedicated lines or frame relay from the ISP's customers. "There is a lot on interest in these access technologies and we wanted to give our customers a system that supports a variety of connection options, remarked Mike Maiten, Chief Technical Officer at Net+Effects. Systems are available in 30, 50 or 90 port configurations and can be expanded in 10 port increments.
"This is going to be great for the Internet Access business!" said Joe Stroup, President of network 99, a rapidly growing Internet backbone service. "We will be able to expand even more rapidly with a solution like this for our prospects and customers that want to become service providers for a specific market locality."

"Net+Effects attracted customers for the information server ranging from government and RBOC's to startup web malls. We also provide Web site and content development services for clients.
"ISP Systems start at $35,299 for 30 ports in an IP only configuration. Our intention is to help create the environments so that anyone can afford to get onto the Internet. We see economical access as the primary facilitator of greater use of the Internet. Hopefully, we are helping others to reach this goal with our ISP systems," commented Selmeier.
